Ask Maps lets you combine several questions into a single search, providing a complete response. Picture someone planning a trip to Connaught Place. They could ask if driving or taking the metro is quicker, and also get recommendations for coffee shops en route. The app will offer recommendations based on traffic conditions, trip times, and neighboring businesses.
Users can also ask practical queries, such as where to find a local public restroom, a phone charging station, or a restaurant that suits their unique needs. Google noted that the AI uses reviews, images, and other data to identify appropriate locations.
A user meeting friends could request a vegetarian restaurant located between two neighborhoods that provides a friendly setting and can accommodate a party later in the evening. Ask Maps goes beyond basic directions to enhance real-world planning.
